Invest in a winter wardrobe you can wear year-round

Carrie Bradshaw’s closet from Sex in the City

Carrie Bradshaw echoed the thoughts of many when she said, ‘I like my money where I can see it; hanging in my closet’.

Whether you’re a Sex and the City fan or not, there’s no denying Carrie knew a thing or two about fashion. And in one sense, I agree – investing in a bespoke wardrobe is one of the best fashion decisions you could make.

The power of a perfectly-fitted jacket, or a to-the-millimetre dress, far surpasses aesthetics alone. When you step into an outfit that has been made for your body and your body alone, it doesn’t just look good, it feels incredible, and it’s a magical feeling I like to call, ‘a size you’.

No two bodies are the same, and no two jackets are either.

When it comes to making a tailored winter jacket for a woman, the process is not a quick one, but it is definitely worth it. Pulling on a winter coat that hugs your shoulder peaks, finishes at the right point of your wrist, nips at the right part of your waist and skims your curves in all the right places – it’s something truly special.

Investing in a winter wardrobe of coats, tailored shirts, and wool pants is an investment in yourself because when you look good, you feel good, and it shows. When I watch a woman try her bespoke winter outfit on for the first time, I also watch her confidence blossom and her demeanour change. There’s a ‘magical something’ that only a bespoke garment can bring to a dressing room, and it’s one of the many reasons I do what I do.

When my clients step into their bespoke winter outfit, they can step into any kind of day with confidence – even a 6-degree day in Melbourne.

If you’ve been searching for a winter wardrobe that fits – actually fits – and haven’t been able to find it off the rack, it’s time to invest in one. Pop into my Albert Park studio for a consultation and let me show you just how good a ‘size you’ can feel.
