Shipping and returns

Delivery times

Garments are made to order, with a lead time of three weeks from order confirmation to completion. Please contact us if you need your order fast-tracked and we will endeavour to accommodate you.

Shipping

Your garment will be delivered by Australia Post tracked post, Australia-wide. You will receive confirmation and a tracking number when your package has been shipped. You can also choose to pick up your order from our Albert Park studio.

International Shipping

International shipping is available at an additional cost of $30AUD. If you would like to place an international order with us, please contact us at [email protected] to discuss purchase and delivery options available to you.

International orders are sent with full tracking from dispatch to delivery. The shipping time is 2 to 6 business days, which varies from country to country. The delivery times are estimates only and unforeseen delays in shipping during peak times may occur.

Please ensure a safe delivery address is provided as Julie Goodwin Couture cannot be held responsible for stolen parcels or parcels delivered to the incorrect address (where an incorrect address was provided). If shipping to a business address, please include name of the business and full address in the shipping information upon checkout.

Undeliverable parcels

Australia Post will require a signature upon delivery of your parcel. Delivery may be signed for by anyone at the nominated delivery address. If this is not possible, the driver will leave a delivery card at your nominated delivery address detailing how and when the delivery can be collected.

If shipping to a business address, please include name of the business and full address in the shipping information upon checkout.

If the parcel is not collected or returned to Julie Goodwin Couture, re-sending this parcel to your nominated address will incur an additional $12 AUD standard shipping fee.

Return policy

Because your White Label garment is made specifically to your requirements and sizing, we do not offer refunds for change of mind. Nor do we offer returns if the garment does not fit because the wrong size was ordered. Please check the detailed garment measurements provided before placing your order and ask for help from us at [email protected] if you are not sure.

All pieces are made to order in our Melbourne studio, and quality checked and measured before being shipped or collected.

If you do have any issues with your garment, please email [email protected] within 7 days of receipt and we will work to resolve them.

If a refund is issued, it will be within two weeks of being notified of the issue.

Damage / defects / faults

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately at [email protected] if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can work to resolve the issue quickly.

Measurements and Fit guide

What if the garment measurements I need don’t match those on the size chart?

If you’re an in-between, smaller, or larger size to those listed, you have options.

Small changes:
If the measurements you require are close to a listed size, simply make a note of the change in the comments section of the order.

This might look like:
“A size 12 with a size 14 bust measurement”
“A size 16 with size 14 hip measurement”
“A size 14 with a size 16 waist measurement”
“bigger than size 18 measurements, but not quite size 20 measurements”

Bigger changes:
All styles of shirt are not always recommended for every shape and size, so if you can’t find yours, chances are we would prefer to custom make for you. We will need a full set of measurements for this, which can be done virtually (on Facetime or Zoom), or in person at the studio. Use the contact form to let us know to get in touch with you.

How do White Label sizes compare to other sizing?

What if I can’t find my normal size on the chart?

There is no such thing as a “normal” size, which is why we place so much importance on the Garment Measurements for each style. Check those against a garment you already have that fits you well, and if you can’t find a match, see above.

Materials and Care

How do I care for my garment?

Our classic styles are designed to stay on rotation in your wardrobe for years, and to make sure that they can, proper garment care is required. We recommend gentle care and washing only when a garment needs it.

All garments have care labels attached; detailed instructions are below.

Cotton

100% Cotton, pre-shrunk. This Japanese cotton meets the Oeko-Tex standard. It is a very compact weave with long staple yarn of the highest quality with a tumble finish. Available in black and white.

Care instructions
Machine or hand wash in cold or warm water. Do not soak, bleach or wring. Drip dry without delay away from direct heat. Warm Iron. Dry Cleanable.

Linen

100% Linen, pre-shrunk. This Belgian linen has a visible grain and soft washed finish texture. Our beautiful linen is of the highest quality and has a light handle.

Care instructions
Gentle machine or hand wash in cold water. Do not soak, bleach or wring. Drip dry without delay away from direct heat. Warm Iron. Dry Cleanable.

Triacetate satin

82% Triacetate, 18% Polyester. Triacetate is made by combining acetate with cellulose pulp. Triacetate has a lightweight yet compact handle, is washable, fast drying and resistant to creasing. Available in black and white. Ask us about other colours.

Care instructions
Machine or hand wash with an all-purpose detergent in cold or tepid water. Do not soak, bleach or wring. Drip dry without delay away from direct heat. Warm Iron. Dry clean recommended.

Silk Twill

100% silk.

Care instructions
Dry cleaning is recommended but it is possible to wash your silk blouse. Hand wash with cold water and gentle soap. Hand washing will extend the life of your garment. Do not soak, bleach or wring. Drip dry without delay away from direct heat. Warm Iron.
