The biggest night in television also shines a spotlight on Hollywood’s style stars. As they descend on the red carpet, see every nominee and celebrity guest’s head-to-toe look.

Before the ceremonies unfold at the 71st annual Primetime Emmy Awards, Hollywood’s preeminent talents descend on one of the most stylish red carpets of the year, with notable guests Zendaya, Kim Kardashian West and Kendall Jenner just some of the exciting arrivals on 2019’s guest list.

Founded in 1949 by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the Emmy Awards set out to celebrate the best in the television business, from outstanding drama series, to outstanding lead actors to outstanding documentaries. Held at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday September 22 (September 23 in Australia), the star-studded affair is presented by three official bodies: the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

This year, popular television series Game of Thrones predominates the list of nominees with a whopping 32 nominations, including supporting actress for a drama series (for which Gwendoline Christie, Lena Headey, Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams are all nominated), outstanding drama series and outstanding directing, to name a few.

Also in the running for the outstanding drama series gong is Killing Eve, This is us and Ozark (among other hit shows), with actors Emilia Clarke, Jodie Comer, Laura Linney, Sandra Oh and Mandy Moore from the respective titles all up for the award of outstanding lead actress in a drama series.

With such an incredible line up of formidable women nominated for awards this year, the special evening lends itself to celebrate the best in style, highlighting the diverse ways in which the Emmys call on stars to dress for the occasion.

While the official winners are yet to be announced (though these results are out of our hands), the verdict for the best dressed nominees still hangs in the balance. Below, see every look vying for first place and cast your vote.
